Last year, the Glasgow Champs Board created more opportunities for care‑experienced young people to influence services and feel connected to their city. The programme focused on three themed blocks – Education, Health & Wellbeing, and Housing.  This was made up of discussions, workshops, and guest speakers throughout. Over summer, we ran a walking group exploring Glasgow, finishing with a celebration BBQ in Luss.

Entering into 2026, our theme is “Getting to know Glasgow, Glasgow getting to know us.” We’ve moved to a new venue at the St Francis Community Centre, Gorbals, offering more space and better accessibility. We meet every second Thursday, starting with food at 5:30pm, followed by youth‑led discussions or guest inputs, and ending with reflection time around 7pm.

This year we have several exciting opportunities lined up, including Money Ready, Venture Trust rock climbing, and an input from Deni (Arts in the City) in early April. We are also planning afternoon activities for the holidays, with more details to come.
